What are the alternatives to Nerdio for Azure?

    • Please consider Nerdio Manager for MSP, which is backed by the same fantastic Nerdio support team and cutting-edge engineering you’ve come to know in the Nerdio for Azure product, as you consider how the sunset will impact your Azure practice and revenue streams.
    • Here is a linked guide comparing Nerdio Manager for MSP and Nerdio for Azure in which you can learn how the products differ. Our NMM Cost Estimator can also help you understand the costs of a virtual desktop practice in Microsoft Azure.

What does the migration strategy look like?

    • Nerdio is here to support you every step of the way. We have compiled a Nerdio Help Center KB to help you with the migration. Further, in the coming months we will release functionality in the Nerdio Manager for MSP product to migrate customer accounts over from NFA to NMM.
    • We understand if you elect to transition to another approach instead of using NMM. Give us a call and we will be happy to provide one-time guidance via phone to help you map out the transition.

How will a move to Nerdio Manager for MSP affect my MSP practice?

    • Transitioning to NMM allows partners to capitalize on customer demand for desktop virtualization and remote work solutions while leveraging modern, cutting-edge Azure and Azure Marketplace technologies.
    • With NMM, deployments can be done in under an hour, existing deployments can be connected to in minutes and MSPs can see up to 75% cost savings on compute and storage costs through our patented auto-scaling technology. Onboarding existing Azure environments or building completely new ones are easy and don’t require specific or deep knowledge of PowerShell or the underlying Azure platform.
    • And as an Azure managed application, installing NMM into an MSP’s Azure tenant lays the foundation for dozens, if not hundreds, of customers to be onboarded and managed from a single intuitive management interface.

How does this impact my existing or in progress NFA-100 Certification?

    • The current NFA-100 curriculum and exam are being retired on November 1st, 2021
      • No new registrations for the NFA-100 curriculum will be allowed after November 1st, 2021
      • Current registrants will have 90 days to complete the exam before it's fully retired.
      • Current NFA-100 Certified Engineers and those that pass before February 28th, 2022 will receive a free credit for the new NMM-200 curriculum and exam.
    • Does the NFA-100 Certification still have value?
      • Yes, it does as our partners will still be able to leverage NFA until January 31st 2024 and passing the exam puts you in line for a free seat in our NMM-200 track.

There were meetings that were canceled. What replaces that resource for the sunset and new access?

As you review the resources please send any questions you have to nmm.support@getnerdio.com and we will be happy to help.
