Multi-select bulk actions for session hosts

Applies to: Nerdio Manager for MSP (NMM) v2.2.0+

You can select multiple session hosts and perform actions such as restart, activate/de-activate, re-image, resize, delete, log off, etc. on them in one go.

Let us explore how this works in NMM.

Login to NMM portal and click "Manage" option on an existing account. From the main menu on your account's page, select "AVD->Host pools" tab as shown below:

Select an existing host pool say "Nayan-Test" and click "Manage Hosts" option. As you can see there are two session hosts inside host pool "Nayan-Test":

In order to select multiple session hosts, click "Power" button on each of them as shown below:

Then click "Select bulk action" button as shown below:

Select an operation from the drop-down list:

  • Re-size/re-image selected hosts
  • Restart selected hosts
  • Power on selected hosts
  • Power off selected hosts
  • Activate selected hosts
  • Deactivate selected hosts
  • Delete selected hosts
  • Message selected hosts
  • Disconnect selected hosts
  • Log off selected hosts

Note: You will be able to see only certain operations under "Select bulk action" drop-down that are relevant to the selected session hosts.

For example, to activate both the hosts select "Activate selected" option:

And on the pop-up, click "OK" button to confirm action:

Similarly, to send message to users on both the hosts select "Message selected" option:

On the pop-up, enter a title, message, enable schedule option and click "OK" button to confirm action:

Similarly, you can perform actions such as send message, disconnect, log off, etc. on multiple user sessions. Thus, multi-select bulk actions feature makes it easier to manage large AVD environments.
