Passwords must be at least seven characters long, must include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a non-alphanumeric character. This applies to Nerdio desktop and Nerdio Admin Portal (NAP) user logins. NAP user passwords are limited to 20 characters.
Additionally for Nerdio desktop logins, you can't change your password to one of your last three passwords. Typically passwords expire after 90 days. You will be locked out of your Nerdio desktop after five failed login attempts.
Keep in mind these are the default settings. Your administrator may have customized the minimum password requirements policy for your organization.
This tip is for IT admins. Password policy settings are managed via Group Policy. Group Policy Management console can be launched from FS01, and the user Customer Administrator has rights to modify the GPOs. The settings are located under Computer Configuration\Policies\Windows Settings\Security Settings\Account Policies\Password Policy.
Password expiration is controlled by a GPO called Default Domain Policy.
Password expiration notification is controlled by a GPO called PasswordExpWarning.
